Travel to Malta, a country that is both familiar and exotic. Located between Sicily and Tunisia, it once controlled the sea. From the Phoenicians through the Crusades and the World Wars and into the 21st century, Malta has been a Mediterranean hub of history and culture. Vibrantly colorful, beautiful, historic and a little off the beaten track, Malta is well worth the trip. Led by Jack Holmes, a travel photographer and owner of "Images From Near and Far" at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell. A retired high school teacher, he previously served as President of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association and Gallery Manager of the Loading Dock Gallery in Lowell.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Thayer Memorial Library, the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library, and Corning Community Impact & Investment.
