Join us Saturday, November 12 @ 12:00 pm to discuss the critically acclaimed movie Pig.

Nicholas Cage shines in this unexpected film about a reclusive truffle hunter living in the Oregon wilderness who loses his beloved foraging pig to (masked/vicious) kidnappers. The ensuing search for his porcine companion in nearby Portland forces him revisit a painful chapter of his life and confront the city’s seedy underbelly.

A quirky, deeply moving story of love and loss, Pig won the Independent Spirit Award for Best First Screenplay and Nicholas Cage was nominated for a Best Actor Critics' Choice Movie Award.

Stream Pig in Kanopy (a free service for Lancaster library patrons!) or ask for a copy of the DVD at the circulation desk.
