The best thing caregivers can do to nurture their child’s musicality is to show them by example how they sing, play instruments and dance. Each class is framed as a musical journey, making “stops” around the world to explore music and dance from cultures within our own community and far beyond. We explore a wide range of musical genres and world instruments while also focusing on language skills, building gross motor strength, and creative expression. Families who participate in the program make life-long memories and create traditions around music and dance. Firelight KIDS Music and Movement program is designed for kids aged 6 months – 5 years and their caregivers and is led by Katie Schiering. Registration is required. Fill out this form.
Music and Movement classes are brought to you with federal funds provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners.
